Lifeguard Schedule

Sun Valley Swimming Pool is a membership facility

Members accept personal responsibility for themselves

when no lifeguard is on duty.

Sun Valley Pool staffs lifeguards on weekends from May through September and weekdays during the Lafayette School District summer break when the pool is open for recreational swimming and the air temperature is >65 degrees F.

Estimated hours of lifeguard coverage at Sun Valley:

• Monday-Friday: 2:00pm - 8:00pm (except during home meets on Wednesdays)
• Saturday: 11:00am - 8:00pm (except during home meets on Saturdays)
• Sunday: 10:00am - 7:00pm 
  

*During the last 15 minutes of each hour there is a mandatory rest period for all swimmers under 18 years of age.

**No swimmers under 18yro are allowed to swim without an adult present when no lifeguard is on duty.  

***Responsible, strong, member swimmers ages 14-17 who can pass the independent swimmer test may swim without a parent or guardian ONLY when a lifeguard is on duty. This is a privilege that can be revoked or suspended at any time. Contact the lifeguard director to schedule an independent swimmer test.
